RED WATERS -- By India R Adams

The Author said it Best
"There is no romance in sexual slavery--
There is confusion and lack of compassion on many sides
There is a disconnect between the abductors, sellers, buyers and victim".

I have have heard that abusers were often abused themselves at some point, which is the case
in this story.. It contains the inner workings of a sex slave ring--
the capturing , training, torture, and selling of human beings..
This was a dark read and not for the faint of heart-- it is a frightening world, but a
very real world in which no one is safe.
India has captured this world and brought it to light-- and the rawness and depths
are like an onion getting stronger and more revealing with each layer being removed
Applause to India-- another awesome read to her credit.

The Protected Witness -- By Al Macy

A man who is an accountant finds evidence that The President of the United States
moved eighty million dollars into a shell company, then in to off shore tax havens.
Then within a few weeks the government put down rebellion in Sudan with US troops and
another eighty million was moved .

I couldn't allow her to get away with this.. But how was I supposed to know
that other people would kill to protect her.. That innocent people would
get hurt and lose everything they had.
There were traitors in the FBI. People who knew about her crimes, and are loyal to her.
The author said it best," Im a whistle blower, and someone higher up
wants to silence me.
This team thats coming, they're going to kill me."
The President wants me and my assistant dead -- what choice do we have?
In order to survive we have to run , we have to hide.

Through a series of remarkable occurrences, and science. We were able to survive
and eventually the world would know exactly what had happened.
A fascinating good book, and one that I enjoyed very much.

Once Upon A [Fallen] Time (Stolen Series II) by Samreen Ahsan

We will begin with the Authors opening statements;
"Life is a tomb built on beautiful memories, ardous past , and afflicting pains
Its a sepulchral of emotions, truth, betrayals,lies and secrets- a catacomb
of haunted souls."

She peered into the mirror, and was literally pulled into the past by Prince Edward.
Was it Fate, Destiny, or ill fated Magic?
Her life as she knew it was gone --- and she was stuck centuries in the past.

The Prince loved her but was afraid of her, and he was also afraid of what his beast would do to her--
because as he said she came out of his dreams .

This woman.. I looked at her... she had given me hope...
hope for atonement and redemption.. hope to fill my life
with colors.. hope to breathe life into me .. hope to
find love.. someday.

Myra had brought life to a dead castle-- with her presence
sunshine was shining in Prince Edwards bed chamber,
laughter, and rain. Where there is sunshine and rain-- there is life.

This story has many twists and turns, and an unexpected ending.
I agree with others who say this series belong in the movies -- trust me
this is MOVIE worthy.. The author left nothing to chance-- she filled
in every possible detail, with exact precision. This was an excellant read--
one that I truly didnt want to see end.

The Missing - By Jeremy Forsyth

This story is about many things -- but is centered around the kidnapping of an infant baby girl that was murdered.
Her father was accused and found quilty -- which he wasnt. Friends and co-workers leading double lives and destroying
many in the process.People not being who you thought they were. All for Ego and or Religious practices, each trying to be the better
man or in this case the better Elf clan. Who was right and who was wrong? Who knows?
There was a dream where some things were mentioned to make the reader think and I will end this review with just some of them.
If you believe in God or anything, consider these questions;
a) why are you afraid all the time?
b) Why do you doubt your worth?
c) What power do I really have, if you go about life in constant struggle?
This was an exceptional read and if I could I would have given it an easy 10 star rating.

Unmarriageable -- by Soniah Kamal

This opens to a young English Literature Teacher in Pakistan. She
is working  in the professional field, to help care and support her aging father.
Her mother was just the opposite -- some what believing  it was the destiny of
every single , young girl -  to fish  for the right husband.Which is determined by
wealth, status,position, or amenities.

the  author said it best,"Welcome to a womans world, where we  are  valued for tits, ass,womb,sometimes
earning capacity, but all else being servile brainless twits.Have you any idea what it feels like to want  to be  liked for your
brains and instead be coveted for your  body?"
This writer writes with dignity and conviction showing the world  the culture  of her  country, and its tradition regarding a womans
destiny or place within their  culture.
This book shows the struggles of an educated unmarried woman -- who believes that being  a wife and a mother  is  not
 the  only road a woman has in this  life. This was a  very interesting  and informative book.

The Broken Rose- by Jeremy Forsyth

This story has many possibilities, and many possible meanings. When you look at the meaning of the white rose it
suggests a symbol of honor, reverence secrecy ,worthiness, innocence , and purity. The readers finds all of these symbols throughout
the entire story. Visions and Prophecy are key elements, and play major roles in this story.
When you read the story you find an innocent maid removed from the city -- and it appears that she is dismissed for practicing
the Old Ways-- but in truth she was removed for her own safety, due to a vision that fore warned of
impending danger to her if she remained. The white rose symbolizes secrecy.
Things aren't always what they seem. As is the case with Jay and his friend Lardian. The white rose
symbolizes honor and reverence.
This could also show us the reasoning of secrecy of the Old Ways.
The author said it best," Elves who had still held fast to the old gods have waged a secret and eternal war against believers
of Adonai ever since - the Silent War,
It dated back to the Great Split during
the First Moon - when the First Elder declared Adonai the one true God of the Moon Elves.
He had ordered the images and idols of the old gods to be burned.
This has a lot to do with the divisions of the elves and why they hated each other.
Currently the Moon Elves are ruling the land -- but a vision to the Blade Master warns him
the Father of the Sun; the Highborn immortal, Asharal Evening The Father of the Sun looked at me. “Know this Moon Elf.
Though the Moon has overcome the Sun, the Highborn s are eternal and are therefore, content to wait," his pale eyes piercing my soul.
The utter contempt I had perceived in them, I could recall, had been extremely unsettling.
When I hear that death has claimed you, the fight for the Middle Islands will begin again.”
In the mean time the remaining Old Way followers remain in secret, and will kill as many of the Moon Elves as possible.
So our story continues.... A Very Excellent read !!! I love the many layers this story has --

The Evening Tide - By Jeremy Forsyth

This is a story about the present ruling class of The Wind elves,
the contenders The Sun Elves, and a prophecy.
We are introduced to a family; the father is a fisherman, a hard working mother,
and a young maid named Elwyn.
Asharal the highborn Sun Elf with a high society type personality
where he is uncomfortable around those he deems as beneath himself.
He also has some deep seeded personal issues stemming from pain and hatred from
personal tragedy. He has a devoted brother who constantly is nearby to
protect his brother with powerful magic.These brothers have a sister and are complete together
forming a strong loving devoted family bond.
As the story unfolds we see how the rise of power and the take over develops,
and through circumstances Elwyn is murdered.
The reader is faced with deciding what the murderer felt, possibly regret,jealousy,
sorrow? Murder, and intrigue is all around. The rise of a new kingdom, and a new
ruler. A new way of life for all of the elven peoples.
A very very good read. The writer knows how to develop characters that
are believable. And a story-line that is strong and unique.

Breaking Grace by Rose Devereux

This  story  shows the  lives  of several people-- their flaws and weaknesses
Just when you think you understand the plot  of the story -- it changes. The story  has
half truths and  many unknown factors.The story  seems to quietly emphasize  over and over  things
 aren't what they seem to be.
This story deals with many hard core issues, abuse, pain of loss and suffering, attempted rape,
being bullied, greed, severe trust issues, and survival.
The ending is not what I was expecting at all....
A mind blowing book. This writer has so many twists and turns I felt like a pretzel,
A deep , dark delicious read...

EBOLA K -- Book3 by Bobby Adair

This  author said it  best,"Under the immense stress of life
 people discover who they are and what they are capable of."
Just when it seems death is  coming -- a small window of opportunity
develops and  some Ebola victims actually  survive.
With the  outbreak of Ebola K  there  came  a possible treatment--
many would die , the  governments  would  become greedy,some would be  murdered,
 and some would  survive to spread  hope in the end.
After the  main threat was  easing,  a few  would  develop trust in each other
and actually work together.
That out  of darkness and despair, hope  would start to grow.
This author  ended this  series  again with an excellent read.
I thought  Books 1&2 would  be a tough act to follow -- this book tied
it all together  nicely, and ended  it with an element  of surprise.
This writer is excellent,  this story was  believable and hard to put down.

EBOLA K Book 2 Bobby Adair

An OMG story!!!!
This story will slam you against the wall --
Once you go through hell, barely survive, you find death and ruin all around--
things are worse then you ever imagined . Things go from bad to worse.
This will keep you on the edge of your seat, leaving you wanting more.
You just have to know how it ends. More More More
This writer is excellent..

Your Son Is Alive by James Scott Bell

This story begins with the abduction of a 5year old boy -- which over the
next 15 years was believed to be dead. Until a mysterious note scribbled in
crayon states - Your son is alive

Dylan was a prisoner. For a murder he had not committed. For a murder
he was set up for.

His ex wife had been thrown against a wall by a Dectective- only to wake up
later strapped in a room -- unable to figure out where she was,or why

This is a nightmare -- Why is this happening? What's the Brownie got to do with anything?

This is a great story-- leaving the reader breathless as we find ourselves
in dark mysterious, dangerous places. Unable to figure out
who is behind all of this chaos. Its more then a classic "who done it"?
This story brings the reader face to face with a man bent on destroying
people he perceives as a threat to his fantasy-- intent to pay back debts
he imagine he was owed, to right the wrongs he believes have been made.
Intent on having the one person he felt he deserved.
This writer will keep your attention , bend your mind, and leave you wanting more.

Once Upon A Stolen Time - Ahsan, Samreen

Have you ever had a preoccupation so strong that it became your total
obsession? This  book  deals with several..
From a  past Kingdom passionately wanting to break free of a curse, a present day young woman wanting
 to see the  past life styles of kings and castles-- to a rich  man  named Steve who loves his
gaming empire.

Our story begins with Myra who explains;
I had fallen in love with the past. The princes and kings
before the  sixteenth century,they were my fantasy...
Towers, fortresses, castles, and renaissance palaces
always held a special place in my heart. That's the  kind  of man I fancy
 that doesnt exist in the modern world.

Steve would  offer Myra her deepest wish of visiting  the Hue Castle-
in exchange for her helping him make the best medieval game  possible.
He  states ",Myra was my two million dollar doll, my gateway to opening
the doors of Hue Castle for my game  and the movie, my key to Universal Pictures

legends said the Hue Castle had been under a wicked spell
for eight centuries, abandoned since the fifteenth century,
and closed to the  public.

Our adventure  begins as we explore the rooms  of this  old forgotten castle.
Through  books and a black mirror , strange things  begin to become known about this castle.
And the curse slowly reveals  itself.
Time  made Steve fall in love with Myra-- but fate  or destiny had other plans
and the mirror pulled her  inside of itself  leaving Steve to wonder  where she went.

How was he going to find her?

This is a wonderful , magical book --- a story that is more then I could
ever imagine.. A very good read.. I want  more!!!

TROUBLE in The Red Pueblo -- by Liz Adair

" I learned  that jealousy is corrosive, that
it eats away at everything  it touches."

Jealousy can be  about money , prestige, power,
and love. How people either have these things  or
they don't.. I call this  the Have's and the Have Nots.
This story is a story of some people  having it all
while others  have not much. How  some times  people
can take advantage of those around them without caring
how it  effects others.
The abuse of power and money  can ruin  people
and destroy their very lives.
Severe loss-- in health, property, or livlihood
can make the  person effected do some drastic
things..This story shows how people can survive
great odds.. And shows how life can go on..
A great story-- I will be reading more from this author.

In The Blink Of An Eye by Jesse Blackadder

Dr  Kubler-Ross psychiatrist and visionary death-and-dying expert
shows us  how we  get past a life changing  phase and  finally have acceptance.

The stages — denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance —
 applies to grieving friends and family members, after the loss of their loved ones.


My story begins with a family  moving into their new house. Life was busy for all.
Each member had their  place , and their own life. Dad made art, mom researched koala habitats,
Jarrah  had school, and  little Toby just stole everyone's  heart..

I only left him for five minutes to go to the bathroom-- but then it was too quiet
and I just knew something was wrong.... I searched  all through the house  and out in the yard.
 Then I saw  him, through the fence in the pool.

Dad took the blame, Mom became angry, and Jarrah  he withdrew. Life as they all knew it was no more.
Dad was facing  jail, and Mom was close to shutting down, and Jarrah  tries to commit suicide.

So many emotions -- each struggling -- I was  over whelmed by all of the different things that
surfaced..But in the end I understood that in reality , this is exactly how numbing and
chaotic  living is after such a tragedy.

A very deep  book -- well worth the read.

HeartWood By Nance Newman

Guardians, Rangers, and Parents-- all play a part in this story.
We begin with the life of the new Xylem that is beginning.
Ahhhhhh, what is a Xylem you ask? Well, its a journey the maturing
of a healer, and the maturing of a woman-child. It can also be the Heart and circulatorysystem of the inner trees. So much to learn, so
much to do before we can complete our Destiny. She would encounter many
hard lessons,  deal with loss, -- usually not for anyone so young,
 but she would fight, challange, and survive. But will her work ever be over? We will see..
This was an excellant read.. I plan on reading more from this fine writer.

The Ebola K Trilogy Book 1 by Bobby Adair

He was a coward,so he deserved death
He was a traitor, so he deserved death
He was a spy, so he deserved death
He was an apostate, so he deserved death
He was just like every other American, so
he deserved death.


This  book  shows several facets of contagious  outbreaks:
a.) a new strain  of the deadly Ebola Virus and
b.) the deadly  consequences of hatred and prejustice.
How living in a world  we are still unprepared to
deal with the fall out of world wide  illnesses, poverty, prejudices.
 The breaking down of people physically, spiritually, and morally.
Sometimes left to our own devices we  become cold, mechanical, prejudice,
and uncaring.Treating hatred much the same way as illness-- to dispose of it,
 kill it, or simply  ignore it. To become intolerant and narrow minded.
Just like Ebola can be Airborne -- so can Terrorism.
This story made me evaluate my own thought  processes and feelings . It was a
story that touched me on a very deep level. I will be reading more
from this writer... A very realistic thought provoking read .

The Red Ledger Book 1 by Meredith Wild

THE RED LEDGER Book 1
Truth is like this over-whelming place,
It's much easier to get lost then to ever find what you're
looking for.
This is a whirlwind story- how a young woman loses the man she loves to
war she thought. She can't forget him even years later. She tries to date but still
in her mind, there was only one that she still wants. 
She goes to Rio -- the nightlife, the music, all very exciting. 
She finds herself kidnapped and running for her life.
The one that was sent to kill her, becomes her savior. Why?
This was an awesome read....... Fast paced and unforgettable...
I look forward to reading more from this writer.

Farewell by Edward T. Creagan MD.

This is a bedside look at the process of end of life care
and dying from a Drs. hands on experience. 
This was well written with compassion, care, and respect.
The things written in the book are informative and
will promote the experience to be easier for
all involved. Keeping in mind that the patient's wishes should come first if possible and practical.
The good Dr mentioned -this is not the time or place to bring up anger issues or blame. Use this time for 
forgiveness, allowing the person to go with love, dignity, and respect.
As a senior myself with serious health issues this book
could have been written for me. It was comforting to
know that when the time comes that I might have a Dr as
caring as this one. Or I hope so. Smiles 
I would recommend this book for anyone as a resource for information. Because we will all face these issues
sooner or later. I highly recommend this read.

Spirits and Spells by Heather Marie Adkins

Ok to begin with this is
True Paranormal Anthology.

According to the writers an informal recent facebook
poll showed that people are more scared of real-life unexplained
happenings and haunting s, then anything fictional...
Just because we may not understand a situation or can explain them, does
not mean they are imagined or less threatening to our well being.
Keeping that in mind,
I found these stories to be very well written and interesting.
I didn't realize that Anthology meant novella or short story, but I do now. Sighs
I wish there would have been more to the stories, as this would have been
a favorite book of mine.
It shows how frightening and varied the unexplained can be.. Happy reading all
